5% Azelaic Acid with Proprietary Blend (Kojic Acid, Niacinamide, Glycolic Acid, Sodium Hyaluronate)
Directions: Apply the cream twice daily, morning and night. Rub in well for best penetration. Overlap the area thereby surrounding the intended application site.
Visibly reduces dark spots or discolorations, projecting a pure, natural glow over time. Diminishes dark spots & brightens the skin's complexion. Works on the face, hands, arms, chest, or legs.
What to expect:
In the first 30 days or so you will notice the area begin to peel, this is an indicator that the cream is beginning to work. Over time the damaged skin cells will shed themselves revealing a new beautiful layer of pink healthy skin. The full result could take 3 months or more, every person and every situation is different, but you should begin to see the process happening rather quickly.
Results are not instantaneous, repeated use is required.
Inflammation can result in hyperpigmentation on some areas of your skin. Azelaic acid stops discolored skin cells from populating.
The same property that makes azelaic acid effective for the treatment of inflammatory hyperpigmentation also enables it to lighten skin that’s discolored by melanin. Using azelaic acid for skin lightening in patchy or blotchy areas of your skin due to melanin has been found effective.
Niacinamide is a proven treatment for dark spots, discolorations, brown patches, and melasma. This study found a significant decrease in hyperpigmentation after participants applied as little as 2% for four weeks.
Niacinamide has been found to protect from free radicals and prevent oxidative stress. (Free radicals are unstable molecules that cause signs of aging by depleting the natural antioxidants in our skin and damaging proteins, DNA and other parts of skin cells.)
Kojic acid blocks tyrosinase, in turn, inhibiting the production of excess pigment. This means it can help lighten existing sunspots and photodamage, fade the dark marks left over from acne scarring or after a pimple, and even improve melasma, notes Chang.
Dark spots form when abnormally pigmented cells cluster on skin's surface. Teeny-tiny glycolic acid molecules penetrate deeply and force those cells off your face.
Hyaluronic acid (Sodium Hyaluronate) does so much. It boosts hydration, smoothes fine lines and wrinkles, repairs your skin's tissue, and, in my particular case, kicks dark spots' behinds
